Are you asking if a Christian would invite an Atheist to a Wedding Reception, and accept their Gift, but withhold an Invitation to the Wedding it's self ?

No ! That is hypercritical ! If I don't want someone at my Wedding, because they are an Atheist, and would not respect the Spiritual aspect of the Service, I just won't invite them PERIOD !

Now. My Wife, and I just Celebrated our TENTH Wedding Anniversary by Renewing our Vows. It was a very Spiritual Service, we made a point of asking friends, and family who are not Christians to be there, in the hope our Renup Service, with all the Sacred Songs, Scripture, and Vows drawn from The Bible would make a positive impact on them. We believe it did.

Whoa, that's messed up. Why wouldn't someone invite an Atheist to a wedding, yet invite them to the reception to get their gift? Are they trying to avoid offending the Atheist, as there would be a preacher at the wedding? Not that it makes sense either... I don't know of anyone who would be upset over a wedding. That's for the people getting married, not for the audience there.

That's really messed up.

On bringing presents, do purely what everybody else is. Being atheist or no longer isn't suitable. Going to Hell after the social gathering is over? i'm particular that isn't substitute, the two. yet i actual don't comprehend the question being asked.

this doesn't make sense as anyone who gets an invitation to a reception should receive one to the wedding. this is not fair as it interferes with a persons right to their personal religious belief system and right of free will. if the sender didn't want an atheist at the wedding then they should not have sent an invitation to the reception at least in my opinion.

Why wouldn't they invite Atheists to the wedding? Also how could they know for sure...it's not like atheists suddenly break out in purple spots.

Tell you what, If I was not welcom at the ceremony I would not buy them a gift.

I cannot imagine not inviting someone to a wedding just because of their beliefs.
There are several reasons, in some religions, that people outside of that particular faith can't enter the temple or church. There is also the possibility that the church only fit a certain amount of people......
I hope it's not because someone is an Atheist....

Actually some atheists believe in heaven and hell (similar constructs anyway) like me. They just don't believe God runs the show or that he is singular.
I don't have to say much, your point is noted, the righteous shall burn in hell.
What seperates the atheists from the masquarading of the religious lot is that we come clean and we do not discriminate.

There are some good people among the religious lot but the above refers to people who might be hypocritical enough to do as the question-poser claims.
