You'll have to forgive me I don't mean to be rude or anything, but I was unable to understand part of your question. I believe you are looking for a location which will allow you to do part of the party (or broadcast) in an outside location. If you are looking for something in town, Relish Restaurant & Lounge is in the heart of downtown Vancouver at Nelson & Howe. They have a great menu and a large patio that also extends to the next building. There is also a fountain on site there which is a nice touch. In North Vancouver I would recommend either Grouse Mountain, which can host medium size groups or the Capliano Suspension Bridge, which also accomodates groups and has some amazing outdoor spots. If you are looking for something that may have a scenic view of Vancouver, Sandbar has a nice patio on their second floor, but if you are holding your event on a weekend, and are not willing to pay the price (fairly steep) to take over the patio, not such a great idea. Also consider a number of golf courses with club houses. The UBC one is very nice.

1. You could phone the Salmon House Restaurant in West Van....they have a spectacular view and seems large enough to have a place for a private party....

2. I like the Best Western Coquitlam Inn...they have lots of wedding receptions and the indoor garden, and atmosphere with the pool and jacuzzi is really very relaxing and attractive..great food and classy service...on North Road near Lougheed Mall.

3. The Rowing Club in Stanley Park used to have a place where they rented a large room with cooks and so on....and the atmosphere out on the water is really neat and close to downtown...

if you need a van to shuttle people around and be cheaper than a taxi, call me. It holds 6 passengers...Brock. 604-552-7650

Try Monk McQueen's its right on the water on the south shore of False Creek. They can take groups of your size and have a covered deck on the second floor.

The Fish House in Stanley Park might work for you.

Romano's Macaroni Grill (my friend had her wedding there for about 45 people - the ceremony was on the grounds)
