Multiply the length by the width.

Example: If the room is 12 feet wide and it is 20 feet long -
12 x 20 = 240 square feet.

Not entirely sure of your question.. Is this just to find out the size of the living space or the square footage for painting purpose? If it is just to figure out the size of the living space.. then you measure the width of the room(example 10.2') and the length of the room (example, 11.3') and then multiply the two together... 10.2 X 11.3 =oll5.2 square feet.

If it is for painting purposes, do the same type of measurements for each of the four walls and you will find out the square footage(for painting purposes) of the room
