In the US, does it appear that the Muslims are more liberal and "Americanized". I had a co-worker who was a Muslim and went out almost every weekend and drank. I knew of another Muslim who would drink occasionally and even eat pork. Yet another who would drink and smoke.
I have known fanatic Muslims, but so far I have met more liberal ones it seems that the US offers a huge sense of liberation for some of these people.
Do you know of any Muslims that are pretty liberal?

Let me clearify "more liberal" As in more liberal than what we see on TV.

I work with a Muslim who drinks and smokes all the time, but I don't think he is serious about his religion.

There are more than one billion Muslims in the world, each is a Muslim in his or her own way, don't believe everything you see on T.V , the western media tends to show the dirty Muslim neighborhoods and the extremists only, while the world is full of moderate Muslims and religious one and even non religious Muslims, I know a lot of non religious Muslims

Is it liberty to abandon your religion ?
You and your muslim friend both have abandoned thier religion.
Therfore you and such muslims are at liberty to do anything in the name of liberty.
You have no obligations towards your culture, your society.
I think you must study some sociology so that you can feel little responsible. Or you dont want to take any kind of resposibilty ?
You must also study the holy Bible so that you can be liberated from such decaying thoughts.

Obviously because they go to divorce court and don't practice sharia law to the same degree. Stonings and beheadings carried out by muslim mobs don't seem to happen as often.
Not to mention the distinct lack of roadside IED's and sect-related killings.

I have met some here who were nice and did not require thier women to be fully hidden. However we should never forget that the ones who flew those planes on 911 lived among us and went to our colleges and looked us in the eye and callously murdered 3000 of us. I don't know how to tell the difference.

In the USA the Muslims can't freely murder infidels like they can in Muslim countries. Our law enforcement agencies work to protect us from terrorists like Muslims.

They will be beheaded if they return to their countries of origon. In free secular societies people are liberal, unlike most Muslim countries.

there are Lot of Muslims drink and smoke and live his \her live as he \she like it and it is up to them ,but but I don't think he is serious about his religion. and in any religion there are a religious and non religious and i know the alto of Christian non religious
