I know excatly what you're talking about. There are somethings in life that we can't cotrol. I always thougth that love was beautiful myself but as usual I was wrong. Love hurts at times when things don't work out the way we want them to. Wether we like it or not we have to take these bad experiences and let them be lesson learned so that we don't give repeat performances. I personally know what it's like to feel unwanted. It sucks real bad and for me it did a real number on my self esteem. Finding someone to love you for who you are is a difficult thing to accomplish though now I have found someone. But in my past I thought that I had but things went wrong on both our parts. I know for a fact that we still loved each other it showed but we both just walked away with the same frame of mind that it was for the best. But as time passed I moved on and I thought that he had. I guess he did he had a nother girlfriend but I was told he was changing getting into fights and acting like he didn't care about anything anymore. I can't exactly tell you why he turned because I don't have all the details. His behavior led him to an early grave. I miss him dearly but what can one do if this is what he chose to do. I don't lnow exactly how passed either I just know that he passed on valetine's day. It's all I know at this time. Life is indeed very cruel and painful especially if you make the wrong decisons. You can email me or IM me so that we could talk some more. It's would be nice to hold a conversation on a subject we both can relate to.

You cannot have one with out the other. Like rainbows without rain or butterflies without worms. This is a fact of life. Love hurts because it is so beautiful when it is working. When it is not working it hurts and unfortunately it hurts the one who was in love not the one who walked away. Some of us fall into love very easily and quickly and get hurt the same way. Each time we toughen a little and tell ourselves we will not allow ourselves to do this again but then a few months or years later we are right back there again. The only thing I can tell you is keep searching for that perfect love. It is out there do not settle for less. You will know it when you find it because they will feel about you the same way you feel about them. I have been married to the same guy for 27yrs. We met and dated and got married all in about 8 months. We have a wonderful marriage. No not free of arguments(usually stupid) but I would not change who I married for anything. I think Love is more than beautiful. I think it is awesome. You will find it look in different places, places you least expect it is usually where it is.

Love and life are painful because they're filled with problems.
But what you have to remember is that problems are a sign of life. If you don't have a problem, you're dead. The only people who don't have problems are people who live in cemeteries.
So the best lesson about life and love is this:
You're not alone. There are approximately 7 other billion people in this world next to you. Obviously, some of us want to kill others, others want to rob others, others want to just lie and live through life like idiots. And some want to love, feel loved, and enjoy life. So you have all the decisions in the world. And ONLY YOU can choose which way to go. If you're not wanted, accept it. If you want something, go for it until you get it. And when love knocks on the door, let it for as long as it wants. If you're married and your spouse suddenly dies, what then? No more room for love? Nonsense. You enjoyed a deep level of love but that doesn't make you uncapable of being loved or loving someone else. So take love as it comes. If it goes away, don't worry. It will come back soon enough.

Love is one of those emotions that can be the greatest feeling you've ever received but then can be taken away from you without a single word. It's the greatest and most depressive of all emotions but no-one fully understands why it's the best and yet at the same time the worst feeling ever.
Love has hurt me many times but I still welcome it though it's hurt me in the past. there hasn't been and probably won't be an exact definition as to why love is cruel but it's just one of those things.

It's because we let our guards down and put our whole into love. It allows us to get hurt alot easier hence why some woman put barriers up now when it comes to relationships, so theyre not hurt again. Love is beauitful, with a man, i dont think so, with say, your child, its the most amazing feeling in the world.

If you never had extreme pain, you would never have extreme pleasure either.
For every heart break there's always the kiss of a loved one to make it all better.
Good times and bad times. That's why life is fun.

Because you haven't tasted the true love yet? It's cruel and painful because the other party didn't return what you expected. I hope that you're feeling better. Let love go for a while as you heal.

i am sorry hon, and yes i agree love is hurtful, however you have to be with the right person. the love you have is beautiful and uncompromising, but life itself is unfair and when those 2 things intermingle, is when you get love to be a painful thing.

That's a blooming good question - but the only answer I've ever been able to come up with, is that without the pain, we'd never be able to recognise and appreciate the pleasure. ~shrug~ I guess what doesn't kill you can only make you stronger. Well, that and chocolate. ;-)
