Does anyone know how long it takes for Frontline to start working?

I've notice there are a lot of "experts" on here that have no freaking clue what's going on in life. Just because you think your answers are true, doesn't mean they are. So if you know for sure, please answer this question!

Frontline works with in a few hours however if you have fleas and all you have treated is the dog you are still going to have fleas.
Fleas spend about 95% of their time off the dog and living in your house and carpet and bedding and everywhere except on the dog. They are only on the dog to feed. You need to treat the entire house and the dog also.
Bomb the house, eash the bedding and get a spray you can use on the furniture and carpets. Keep treating you wil get them but it really does take lots of time they are tought little guys.
You shoud use Frontline every month and the real idea is to use it to prevent fleans not fix the problem after the fact.

it takes 24 hours for frontline to start working, i had my 3 cats and 3 dogs treated and the fleas on the cats were dead within 1 hour, but the dogs took a little longer, make sure that if the animal is in the house, you must treat the house too, or the frontline will do you no good at all...Raid flea and ant killer works good or a generic brand works just as well, within 24 to 48 hours your animal and house should be flea free

I've used frontline on my dogs and never saw a flea or tick on them and their 7 years old. Do the dogs already have fleas or not? The web site says it begins working in 18 hours for fleas and 48 hours for ticks. If the dog goes in water after you applied the frontline, he may be washing it off. It needs a day to disperse on the skin.

I just used frontline on my two dogs and i thought it was going to work right away and when it didn't i was afraid i just wasted my money....but by the next day...day and half it worked....it was like they were just gone....but when they say it only lasts for one month they are not lying....almost to the day the fleas were back....this was my experience...maybe it works faster when there aren't too many fleas and longer when there is a lot....we live on an acre of land and the dogs really had an unbelievable amount of fleas....and even a few ticks...good luck

I can't remember how soon it took to work but my dog has been on front line for years now without any flea troubles whatsoever. The key is to apply it in the dog at the right intervals.
I hope its the right answer for you. And if it comes down to me being a person that has "no freaking clue" then you should know more about front line cuz after all you are asking this in yahoo answers and should be somewhat humble:)

Within 24 hours, there should not be any fleas left on the animal. BUT, if you are not treating the environment, you are only taking care of 5% of the problem.

If my dog is itchy she usually clears up within 3-4 days although there is improvement by the day after it is applied.
