A few people say that i may need a new "sound card" because mine probably can't handle it. I have a DELL Dimension 3100 with 80gb HD, 512mb DDRAM, Pentium 4HT, but i don't know which SoundCard I have. Can anyone recommend what the best thing to do would be? i.e recommend a good SoundCard that is "enough" to use FruityLoops to its full potential.

Look for a card that has ASIO drivers - M-Audio, Echo, Emu and Edirol all make good quality cards.

The other thing to try is increase the "latency" in FL.. this should be somewhere in the settings & should reduce the crackeling noises.

depending on where you live try and check out turnkey or digital village who will be able 2 give you some good advice. You'll need to go for something like an external USB type of audio/midi interface depending on your setup.
