London's AMAZING...I know it may seem expensive at first sight but there are loads of free things to do like many of the museams and art galleries. You get great food (and that too can be a lot cheaper than you would find outside of London if you look around). There are some great shows on at the moment like Stomp, Spamalot (Monty Python), and many more. I tend to get tickets for £20-£30 pp.

And there is so much to do....endless shopping, great nightlife, amasing parks, you name it and london will tend to have it.

There are plenty of b&bs for £25 per night that you could find.

Hope you enjoy your weekend...your bf is a lucky guy! :-)

It depends on how much spendable income you have, anywhere is nice providing you have the money.

If you are looking to escape from wherever you are at the moment, then try something opposite, for example; if you live in a city or urban area, try going to some cheap seaside area, like Plymouth, Holyhead, Gower. ~ Even if these places seem not so good, you'll be garanteed a place that isn't crowded with tourists and a place thats value for money.

... If your from a coastal or rural area though, try going to the city, but avoid expensive places like London, Manchester, Birmingham if money is a priority, and stick to North England where the locals really know how to have a good time and things are a bit cheaper. Also avoid B&Bs that use the colour yellow as this colour is normally used to hide damp and is a cheap (County Council seconds) paint to purchase.

Cardiff. Loads of hotels, a castle, museums, masses of bars, restaurants and clubs, superb for shopping, public transport is good, and it will be really gearing up for christmas by then!

There are also a number of cinemas, comedy clubs, theatres. If you are a sports fan then the Autumn rugby internationals will be on then, so you might even be able to pick up a ticket for one of the matches in the millennuim stadium.

Cardiff is well worth a visit.
