When Muslims start believing that Jesus was crucified, and when Christians start believing that Mohammad was a prophet...that will be a good start.
However, Muslims won't believe Mohammad could be wrong, and Christians won't believe Mohammad was sent to correct and ammend their religion.
Hopefully, a genius will come who can engineer a way for both religions to have their cake and eat it too.

There needs to be more interfaith organizations that allow Muslims and Christians to interact with each other, share faith in God, and seek understanding.
As long as we are apart, stereotypes and generalizations will have more power than they should.
My positive interaction with Muslims has changed my life, and faith, for the better. I wish every person with a negative view of Muslims could spend some time learning about this wonderful religion from a follower; any rigid prejudices one might have would disintegrate quite quickly.
Thanks for the question. Peace to you and your family.

there are several differences in christianity and islam that prevent them from coexisting. Christ taught christians to love everyone, even those that hate you, turn the other cheeck. One of mohammed's teachings was for muslims to spread the religion by the sword (kill non believers if they won't convert)
This is bound to cause conflict between the two until one or the other ceases to exist.

Islam must evolve beyond its' current state of choas in the same way Christianity did some 600+ years ago during what is known as the "Reformation" and embrace reason and tolerance.

Science and critical thinking classes. If Christianity and Islam don't exist, then there is no breech.
Or the supernatural alternative, a god shows up and throws everyone a copy of the correct book.

Yes the breech can be mended but only by honest and open debate. you do not call for a dialogue with other faiths by first dismissing what they believe in (you know its not very helpful to describe Bhuddism as masterbation of the brain as the Pope did)
Lets genuinely respect other faiths as a starting point please. you dont have believe what they say, you only have to believe in the right that they can worship what they want to without slurring their faiths or making calculated derogatory remoarks masking as a call for dialogue.
:) Peace :) Shalom :) Salaam :) Shaanti :)

I think open friendships would do the best. Living in community with people of other faiths couldn't hurt. Eating meals together can really bring people together. We need to start open commentary. Pen Pals anyone?

Hell no! Anyone that wishes peace here on earth is delusional. There is never ever going to peace here on earth. Islam and Christianity are different religions. They can never be breeched!

I think it could be mended if we stop calling people by their religions...
We call a Christian for a *****. A Muslim for a terrorist. And a Jew for a stingy person. We should just call everybody maybe by their name!
