I travelled to Jalandhar in Punjab the february where i attended a full monty Indian wedding which was an incredible experience.

There were over 800 people at the wedding and i was the first white man to be allowed into a Temple close to the wedding, a huge honour.

However, the place of Jalandhar is a complete dump, it has many beggers who wouldn't leave me alone, some were quite agressive and being white i was a bit of a target.

I thought India to be a interesting experience but the areas i visited were deeply depressing, a vile and disgusting place with little to offer to anyone.

I would only recommend you to visit Goa or Bombay, certainly not where we went, with some many beautiful places in the world i can't see me ever going back.

I have spent six weeks in India some time ago. When I returned I vowed "Never again!"
The people were lovely, friendly and kind.
But as a place to visit, it is just TOO MUCH hassle, too many crowds, too many problems, and however much you love curry (I adore it), I defy anyone travelling in India not to get Delhi Belly....and that is not funny at all.
I came back worn out and have never returned. I do eat Indian meals, often, and I have several Indian friends.
But that's where it ends. I like trips where there is no stress and no hassle, and in India everything turns into an unpredictable problem.
That's my experience!

i'm completely disagree with it. there is a brilliant number of distinction between India and Pakistan. In Pakistan, terrorism is state backed and pakistan is breeding floor of those activities. Boycott has undertaking with maximum issues in India that is clean from his all articles that he's not a brilliant fan of the rustic. SO do no longer make lots approximately his assertion.

Been there 3 times and loved it every time. My partner is Indian and I LOVE curry - the hotter the better!! I now add chilli to almost everything!

I like curry, but it's not my favorite indian food. I like the vegetable dishes and breads better.

I have never been to India, but it's #1 on my "Places to visit before I die" list! :)
