A guy who said he was "really into me" and thought I was "awesome" wanted to introduce his gal friends to me. He allowed one gal pal to hang all over him that night. Why? I think she was clearly trying to make me jealous but why would he let that happen?

If this is happening in the beginning imagine how things are going to be later on in your relationship. What is means to me is that he is respecting you in front of his girl friends. You need to talk to him and make it clear. If that makes you mad speak up girl. And wait to see if he changes his attitude towards his friends. I mean he is not going to reject his friends because of you but maybe he'll put his girl friends on their places and show more respect for you. Good Luck

Did it make you jealous? I think it did otherwise you wouldn't be askin this question. Being a male, that was a test to see how you would react if you two never have discussed the situation. At the same time, all night? After so long you should have said something to him about that, a decent man would have listened, but not knowing how far the "gal pal to hang over him that night" was, can't tell you...did he totally ignore you that night?...if so then he's not worth your time (day or night.) Most of his attention should have been towards you no matter what, even if he wanted to introduce you to his female friends.

Cuz he loved the attention. What guy wouldn't want a girl to hang all over him? Anyway, the point is that she was obvously trying to make you jealous and he's too stupid to stop her (or he was trying to see how you'd react as well). Since this bothers you, tell him. Otherwise it will continue. I'm sorry to tell you, but it may not stop it anyway. Proceed with caution with this guy.

maybe the gal pal was showing you how much he is treasured and valued by his friends? actually i have no idea why a man would do that, equally, my man still lives with his ex-gf (as 'housemate'). why would he want to do that if he is as into me as he seems to be?

Maybe he also wants to know if you'll get jealous. Or he's used to this. But in any case, you don't have to be jealous.

Well probably to ensure that you knew that if you didn't attach yourself to him that there are other women that want to, he's trying to see if you want him or not. I say let him go.
