My girlfriend is Muslim. I've also met many of her friends. None of them seemed dangerous to me. I've also met many Christians and Jews and atheists. None of them seemed dangerous either.

I only fear the fanatic fringe of any religion, and even then, only the militant of those. And I'm an atheist, which according to a recent study, is disliked by the most people. If anybody had reason to fear, it would be me.

Unlike what religious people and politicians would like you to believe, the vast majority of people are good, not evil.

there is no reason to fear Muslims...but there is very good reason to fear Christians and the West.

Someone listed things muslims have done. well lets a list of what white Christians have done shall we?

slavery, colonization, taking over the native americans land, taking over the aborginees land, dropping anuclear weapon on hiroshima wiping out 1/2 million innocent civilians. raping plundering looting the worlds wealth and resources. Propping up dictators in the middle east in order to exploit their wealth, oh lets not forget Nazi germany or world wars 1 and 2 and the millions in dead...

I fear hateful Muslims, just as I fear hateful Christians. Any group who uses religion to support a rigid, exclusive agenda is to be feared, because much suffering can be caused by those who think in these terms.

That said, the overwhelming majority of Muslims (and Christians) are true to the faith, compassionate, peaceful. Not only should we not fear Islam, we should respect it.

The people who fear muslims do it mostly because the media/government make you believe they are all evil and dangerous. They use every chance they get to show muslims in a bad way but don't show them in good ways, even though most of them are good, normal people.

The thing is, when a muslim does something bad they emphasize that he's a muslim, but when a Christian does something bad they don't mention his religion, he's just a person who did something bad.

They want to get people to hate muslims and see them as the enemy so they can justify their actions against them and get people to believe those actions are necessary.

I don't fear Muslims. Why do you fear them? Do you know them all? Has every Muslim threatened you in some way? The world was introduced to a very small group of violent Muslims and now a lot of people want to label all Muslims violent. It doesn't work that way. It shouldn't work that way. I would advise you to speak with a few Muslims and get over your fears. Spread love and light up the world.

America has projected the Muslims as "terrorists", "blood-thirsty", "uneducated" people.

That is not the case. Muslims are the most calm, peace-loving people. But by snatching their rights from them, the west has aggrevated their wrath and when hurt, any nation will fight back.

This will be called quest for "Rights" and not terrorism.

Muslims are nice people.

Unfortunately, this is the only exposure to Muslims that a lot of people have. It is always the extremists of ANY religion that are the most vocal and get the most attention. This does not mean that the religions are bad, but most people will only pay attention to the bad aspects.

We don't fear the Muslims. We fear the radical terrorist. That should include the ones that are home grown like David Koresh, timothy Mcvey, the columbine boys, etc.
