DSS - Department of Social Services

Many People I know lie... Companies rarely check... Though since the internet it is becoming easier for them to check. Be careful if you do this. Your application is a signed document. Falsifying such things can get you into a further legal situation.

If they ask about it, be honest. Everyone makes mistakes in life. Some of us wind up with them tatood to our lifes forever.

It's sometimes helpful if he knows someone in the company.

Try for good paying jobs first. Learn to write a legible resume in the correct format (THIS IS VITAL).

Show up for the interview clean-shaved-well dressed for the job search situation (you wouln't need a coat and tie to inverview for the Waffle House).

He can start his own business.

Also, Send your resume to a temporary staffing outfit (be honest with them). Temp outfits are a great way to show people what you're capable of without their fear commiting themselves to you. Once they like you, they'll hire you. The temp agencies also have employee benefits if you've been active there awhile.

In Houston: TalentTree, Burnett (right across the street from each other on Richmond), Kelly Services and Manpower.

Has he tried asking the assistance of the local DSS? They can refer him to other agencies like Trident One Stop. There are local agencies that will even help him write out a resume and have classes on how to do interviews. Good Luck!

Please have him visit the library.
Get the books '48 days to wotk/job you love'
and 'what color is your parachute' . these books
will help him define the career / job he may be
best at . A happy worker doesn't have problems.
If he would be willing to step out of the boxes that he finds himself in, visit myhealthycustomers.com/apply
and fill out an application. Might not be of value short
term but of value long term.
Go with knowledge.
