Brown dominates other eye colours so they are likely to have brown eyes. However it depends if one of your parents has blue eyes. If so then there is a chance the recessive genes for blue eyes will combine and give your child blue eyes.

You can never know. It is true that the darker gene is dominant, but that does not mean your child will definantly have brown eyes. Mine are blue and my Dad's are brown (Mom's are blue too). Luck of the draw, really.

Your child could have green eyes... passed on from a further back generation.

brown dominates over blue, and green. It's a fact, but it is possible to have a light eyes baby.
Most babies are born with blue eyes, and they change over the first year of life.
But it is not genetically possible for brown yes and brown to make a blue eyes baby.

Biology 101:

The gene for brown eyes is dominant while the gene for blue eyes is recessive. Eye color of child depends : if one parent has 2 dominant genes and other has 2 recssive: child has brown eyes. If parent has one dominant gene and one recessive while other has 2 recessive , child could have either eye color. Both parents have recessive genes then child will have blue .

Well, I have dark brown hair and dark brown eyes. My husband has light brown hair and green eyes.

our first has blonde hair (it was black when he was born, turned blonde before 3 months) and hazel eyes.

our second has light brown hair and blue eyes.

our third has brown hair and brown eyes

Technically brown is dominant, but a baby can have any eye color that exsists on either side of the family.

You can never be sure. typically, they say that darker eyes and hair are more dominant. However, I have blue eyes and my partner has dark brown and our daughter has blue. S it can go either way. Also, babies eye color can take up to 6 months to say for sure because it changes. As in my example when my daughter was born her she looked just like her dad and now she looks just like me.

I have brown eyes and my husband has brown eyes and our first son was born with green eyes. You never can tell.

I just read everyone else's answers, and they are wrong. I have dk. brown almost black hair and brown eyes, and my skin is always tan looking due to indian and italian nationalities. My husband has brown hair and brown eyes, and both of my sons were born almost bald with blonde hair, one has green eyes, one has brown. I thought for sure with my dark hair, eyes, and skin I would dominate, but that just isn't the case. My daughter was born with tons of black hair, and her eyes were so dark brown they are almost black. She was the only one. When my blonde haired boys started coming I was ready to ask for a maternity test. Their hair has darkened almost to the color of their dad's now but what a shock to me. Don't be surprised if you get a curly red haired baby with green eyes. Like I said before, anything can happen..

lighter eye and hair color is always recessive gene but sometimes when two recessive genes combine then the recessive gene becomes dominant.
has anybody in ur family side got green/blue eyes? if yes then ur recessive gene might become dominant is ur baby so keep ur fingers crossed
1 factor which i have learnt thru my experience that if u stick a picture of the person whom u want your baby to look like then the baby acquires 70% of the facial characters . try it ~!!!

It depends on your parent's eye colors. If you have the chromosome for blue eyes (ie: are a carrier), then the children's eyes could be blue or brown. If you don't carry this, they will be brown for sure.
