Losing weight is not as easy as some people make it sound. Obesity is becoming a problem all over the world. It's easy to gain weight, but getting the weight off- that's a challenge. Don't fall for fad diets or "quick fixes".
1. Eat more fruits, vegetables, and whole grains.
2. Eat a variety of foods and watch portion sizes
3. Drink plenty of water (say no to soda!)
4. Exercise daily- even if it's just walking
5. Find a source of support (it's a hard battle alone)
6. Make healthy eating a lifestyle change/ personal committment

Good luck.

P.S. When it comes to eggs, eat egg whites (remove the yolk) to save some calories. The yolk is packed with great nutrients, but also a lot of fat calories. Try using one whole egg and 2 egg whites. You're heart will thank you! :)

You can check the web for simple vegetarian recipes that you can try. Try eating smaller portions and getting more exercise. Stay away from foods with a lot of sugar and salt. Do not eat anything after 7 pm so your body can digest food before going to bed. Eat more fruits if you can as well.

It could also be that you have a slow metabolism and nothing you can do about that besides taking diet pills. DO NOT TRY FASTING. That won't help you lose weight because you will be so hungry when you stop that you will really start putting food away.

More fruits and vegetables, a lot of water and walk for about a half hour each day.

My ideas? Try to do 200 minutes of cardio a week. Remember fat does not turn into muscle, so you need to lose your fat while putting on muscle. Work hard, but don't over 60 minutes at a time. Do planks and other abs exercises on alternate days.

On training days, do 5-10 minutes of cardio to warm up, then do your weight training. Do 30 to 60 minutes more of cardio, then go home.

The best time to eat is just after your workout within an hour when your metabolism is raging. For your muscles, incorporate some isolated soy protein or whey protein. Whey is more potent but the soy tastes better!

Don't look at your scale as the be all and end all, but get a measuring tape to check your progress, and that will show more tangible results.

Read magazines like Shape, Womens Fitness, Fitness, etc to get tips and to stay motivated.

Good luck and stick at it. This plan has lost me 20 lbs in 12 weeks so far, just go for it!
