Because we ladies condemn our own first when something of the sexual nature occurs. The men just follow our lead. But when a man sleeps with a woman, they pat each other on the back. Maybe if we women start patting each other on the back, we'd come up with better descriptive names equivalent to a stud

calling on an old custom, in some parts of Africa back then a boy becomes a man when he kills a lion, and here a boy becomes a man when he has sex with a woman, but a girl becomes a woman when she gives birth the a baby. in my opinion a woman is only a tramp is she have sex with different guys while in a relationship or for money, the guy is a stud if he can please his woman, and while being desirable to all other women keeps true to his woman, and if single being the sort of guy that treats her like a lady not just a sex object

Because of the pre-conceived roles of each gender both instinctively and in society's eyes. There's these out of date ideas that men should be sexual conquerors and the more conquests the better. Whereas women are seen as fragile and "unspoiled" and shouldn't engage in too many sexual encounters, which is daft as the two ideals contradict one another.

Also if a man finds out a woman has had loads of partners, there are reasons he'll be reluctant to sleep with her such as fear of STD's and perhaps fear of unwelcome comparisons to more talented former lovers if there are so many.

But mostly I think the "lady is a tramp" mentality comes fromother women more than men. Don't know why though.

I'll leave this answer to somethiing my sister said recently it is indeed worse for a woman to sleep around than a man due to sex being penetrative and internal irrespective of what is perrformed, condoms are not 100% safe of staying on or splitting fingers are used which is realistically unclean, also how can a woman be truly clean inside after sex?...bathing is not 100% cleansing internally.

When you think about it the actual physical process of a man groping around internally in anybody is about as personal as it gets.

p.s. I didnt mention gays though I do accept they take even greater risks with anal play...yet they are a significantly minor percentage compared to straight men and women.

Ironically, women have perpetuated that dogma, far more than men. Guys usually only use that term if [1] they aren't interested in the woman, or [2] they themselves are not the one she is getting lucky with. Women tend to use it all the time.

It stems from old times, when women were expected to be virgins when they got married, and most men would not knowingly take a wife that wasn't. The women that enjoyed sex, just as guys do, were considered to be tramps, but since men did not need to be, or were expected to be, virgins, no derogatory names were bestowed upon their actions.

I don't think it is the case anymore. What it is is that men are threatened because we don't necessarily "need" them anymore. I mean, really, men react like absolute idiots if you get a roll in the hay and they say, "Nice, but, like cya!" They get all indignant and stomping around and all.

Women out there are getting what they want in life and that doesn't always include a cling-on guy. Guys will always talk tough but do they really have ANY idea of how women talk when they get together? No FREEKIN way!

Don't let them get you down. We don't really need them anymore - women aren't desperate to get married anymore - in fact, a lot of us don't really even care to think of it - so they are very insecure and will always try the macho route to make themselves feel better.

Just my opinion.

Hey - I love men - I just don't need them. I am married and happily so - but I was single for a long time before I got married. I work in a heavily male-oriented business so I see it all first hand.

This attitude began in the old testament of the Bible and has followed through in both Judasim and Christianity. It was necessary to be absolutely SURE of the lineage of a child because of the inheritance of property; therefore the laws were very specific about loose women. Unfortunately, even today ladies are still being judged by a double standard and this won't change until men's attitudes about it change.

Depends on the woman and the man. Women can also be referred to as babes, chics, beautiful, goddess etc.
Not a particularly good question actually as it's not clear what you are asking, I personally look down on blokes and girls that sleep around, just because propaganda promotes an idea or stereotype doesn't mean it's good, healthy or true, normally the opposite in fact.

I asked this question twenty-five years ago, your quite right times should change, men should also have the "tart/tramp label", and not have the, "stud"
image, after all they aren't immune to diseases either.
To be honest, men are governed by "little head", instead of "big head", not
that I'm given them excuses, because I'm not.
Anyway I must go, as I'm laughing to much.
Regards.
