Why is there an "O" in sophomore? Should I put the signs up anyway? Is it okay to give my speech to the class while chewing tobacco?

Since spelling "Sophomore" wrong is a very sophomoric thing to do. Turn it into your advantage. Make a joke of it yourself, laugh at yourself, put your signs up, continue with your speech and your campaign.

Don't chew tobacco - that is NOT an attractive thing, nor is it a healthy thing.

I would not put the signs up, I would do them over! I would be embarassed to put them so unless you are able to joke about it in your speech, I wouldn't do it. And definitely don't chew tobacco...

When you give your speech, be sure to mention you will be hoping to introduce "special" english classes into the curriculum, so people don't make the same spastic spelling mistakes you did.
