Muslims and liberals alike get upset no matter who speaks out about the violence in islam but, the Pope is a very powerful and influential man and when he speaks out against violence those who practice and worship violence know and feel the rebuke. Truth does hurt but, when truth is broadcast to the world it really hurts.
FYI- I have an interesting theory as to why the Pope spoke to the world what we all already think anyway. I think it was very calculated and not a mistake. I think he will make peace, not concessions with the muslims and I think his trip to Turkey will not be canceled. I also think this trip will be eventful.

The problem in this Pope Statement issue is that Muslims generally lacks understanding, the Pope did not say those words himself he just quotes what another person said and which is the truth about Islam. We are all witnesses to what they are doing all over the world.

I don't hate the pope and I don't love the pope neither. To be honest it don't have nothing to do with him speaking his mind regarding Islam or whatever he done. It haves to do with I am not a religious person so therefor I don't love him and I don't hate him simply cause he haves never done anything to offend me. I did not listen/watch him when he was talking about the Islam because I never watch the pope cause it don't interest me.

He spoke the truth , even if he was only quoting a 14th century theologian. I think that the situation is so tense because the Muslims feel like they are being picked on every time they turn around just because of the radical faction. It would be easy to get your feelings hurt if someone was always belittling your faith. Not all of the Muslims are terrorists. We need to remember the terrorists we have on our own soil as well before we can point any fingers.

Only the names were changed to make it look like a Christian organization.

Cause he spoke HATE
,he quoted words from some ancient emperor who was fighting against MUSLIMS,and the pop never said what was the answer of the persian MUSLIM to his stupid hatred words.
this thing hates ISLAM & it said it loudly ,its the only one who refused the joining of turkey to the eu just cause its a MUSLIM country ,
so now +1bilion MUSLIMS also say it loudly that WE HATE THIS THING ,and he should apologize ,withdraw his words & find himself another job.

why would you hate president of iran ? is it because he spoke the truth about zionists ( isreal) and usa ?

by the way i dont hate him cuz he is the pope but cuz he insulted muslims and insult our prophet (pbuh)
however he should have respected others`faith so ppl would have respected him
