Flirting is a game to be enjoyed. Especially if you are good at it. However, we run because we aren't ready for a relationship or are scared we may have taken it too far with the flirting. You normally know what to expect when you flirt. But, when we approach the next step...actually doing something about it...this becomes the unknown. Most people are afraid of what they do not know, therefore "run". It takes a strong and determined person to take a chance and find out...what's next.

My favorite question.

The answer eluded me for a while until I figured it out.

Girls claim guys have problems with commitment all the time... but when it comes down to it... you girls are just as scared.

Countless doubts are running through your head, and instead of being willing to take a chance on a guy... you run. Which is why us guys always complain about girls teasing us and leading us on. Which you are, except it's not always intentional.

Scenario:

Girl smiles at guy and cutely smiles at him. Guy walks over and flirts back. Girl shies away and walks away, even though she doesn't want to.

Why?? Because she isn't confident in her own ability to keep up a good conversation, or knows that if she continues talking that there will be a chance that he will get to know her. Heaven forbid!

it depends who you are flirting with. I used to flirt with customers all the time when i worked in a bookies but it was just a bit of fun, most of them were married men, who i had no intentions of going out with. I think it is just a bit of fun with a feel good factor because it makes you feel attractive if they flirt back. It doesn't mean you want it to go any further, and in some cases the very thought grosses you out!

girls like to use their sexuality to give them an edge or power over men and make them do what they want and still remain free and independent all the time while getting a buzz from being desired and lusted after, that is very empowering for a woman. for some of this women being in a relationship would be being restricted or locked down

Flirting is a sport, you may wanna play once in a while but that doesnt mean you want to join the team

Because flirting is a "no strings" form of communication. Dating and letting a guy get to know you is far more risky. You wouldn't be a Gemini would you? lol

Because For those who aren't single, acting like they are and when they know for a fact that the other guy is interested were like, oh no I gotta go before we do anything stupid.

Then again, I am only speculating...I never run away.
