It was 25 years ago, I remember my parents taking pictures of me in my school uniform in the back garden. Also remember being asked if I could tie my shoelaces by the teacher and I couldn't. Life was stressful from then on!!!

I'm not certain if these are my memotries or ones I've borrowed from being told them.
I recall the excitement of a new uniform, new shoes and a port, (not cases or bags in those days).
I remember walking up the school hill holding my mother's hand in a death grip.
I remember how the teacher knew all our names by the end of the day.
As a mother came in to collect a child she knew which one she was after. Awesome memory.
And I remember my father asking how my first day at school was, I replied (in 5yr old confidence), "It was good but I'm not going back tomorrow."

YES! I was quite satisfied, I had some friends in my class already and generally liked school (actually were also a bit bored cause I was 7 then and I could write and read since I had been almost 5:), but being honest my teacher was strange... But the best adventure I experienced was during the break! I went to the toilet and... a clog was broken... so I got stuck inside!!!! I was so afraid! I could not go out! My friend went for help, found a lady who cleaned the corridor - she brought a clog and set me free;)) Funny, isn't it?:)

I remember the first day at my new school (i was 6) but not my first day ever. I remember kindergarten though. My memories go back to 2 1/2 years of age.

In kindergarten, the memory was standing in line wearing a pink dress with pigtails. I was devastated because all of the other girls wear holding snow white, bambi, or other cute lunch pails. I was stuck holding onto my ORANGE Fat Albert lunch pail and embarassed as heck. Then once in class we had to paste and the kids were eating it. By the way, I purposely lost the Fat Albert lunch pail.
