Check out history some time. In the last century we finally had several countries that eliminated all religion. Russia. China, North Korea, North (and later South) Vietnam, and Cuba to name just a few. The results was 180 million people murdered by those countries (plus hundreds of millions of more tortured, mamed, imprisoned, exiled, etc.) Compare this to the 40 million killing in religious war during the 600 years of the Crusades. The highest single decaded during the time (the 11 century) saw about 9 million deaths in religious wars. That gives the atheist country a 20:1 kill ratio victory over the religious crowd. What is the use of atheist, when it cause a 2000% increase in people being butchered?

I don't think that it is religion that cause wars, I think its the people that run the religions that start wars, and if it wasn't the religions, it would be the governmental leaders, I think that humanity has always found a reason to fight itself. And religion is just one of them.

Because people have the right to have beliefes and in a higher power. War has nothing to do with it. It's just the zealots that ruin all religion. And those are the ones everyone seems to focus on, not all the GOOD things that religion has done for people.

TRUE war of religion pales in comparrison to wars of greed!
The causes of war are many and varied. Some of the more common or notable situations which prompt war are:
When there are no other perceived options for resolving differences or grievances.
In the face of a perceived immediate threat from an aggressor.
When one party desires something another has.
In the case of an immediate need to secure essential resources for survival, such as food, water or shelter.
When areas of a country (such as provinces, states, and colonies) desire independence from that country.
As the result of a long standing hatred between nations that has built up over a number of years (rivalry or other antagonisms).
When belief in one nation's or race's superiority over others prompts that group to cast aside people it sees as inferior.
As a result of antagonism caused by different interpretations of some religion among different parties.
As a result of Ideological differences between different parties. For example, Nazism's hatred of Communism contributed to the outbreak of war between Germany and the Soviet Union during the Second World War. The Sino-Soviet Split nearly became an armed conflict between the Soviet Union and China over the goals of Communism.
When some party wishes to pursue global domination.

You are right about religion it is useless, Christianity on the other hand is not a religion it is a relationship with God through his Son Jesus Christ.
Christianity has not started any wars, men have but not Christianity.
Find another excuse for the void in your life but until you ask Jesus into your heart it will always be empty.
Jesus loves you and knows your pain. He wont's you to call on him and he will forgive you.

since religious belief systems vary from one Culture and Society to another there are tendencies for one Culture and Society to force their religious belief system upon another Culture and Society to prove their religion and GOD is stronger than the other Culture and Society. this is a perfect opportunity to start a war and obtain the resources the weaker Culture and Society had control over.

It's use is to cause wars, and rally people via certain themes. In other words, to control the masses. It gives them a false feeling of security and superiority by bringing them together at the expense of those who don't share their faith.

Religion just retards our societies moral and scientific progress and sets us into groups of Us Vs. Them.
Religion needs to be done away with and humanity needs to be our top priority before we will ever achieve peace.
