Is it a morally acceptable choice or should he repent for the many times he has not acted when he might have..or is it simply that there is no God?

Yes but the potter must have given this piece of clay an intellect and reasoning capacities...we are supposed to question everything aren't we?

There is no god, no hell, no nothing. Mankind should help each other and not waste time with something that dosent exist

God has the power to do everything He wants, but He would never interfere with our freedom of choice, because He loves us unconditionally. We are also free to do whatever we want, but there are some things that we are not supposed to do, because it can affect our lives and our future.
