I dated this really nice guy for a week everything went really well and sweet he seemed really keen. Then he dumped me out of the blue at the end of the week via text message. Text message says this. "I'm in love with another girl that I can't get, she lives overseas and you two are very much alike. I thought going out with you will get my mind off her but it didn't. Sorry to have fooled around and messed you up. Will call you when I'm more focused and have my priorities straight."

Like whatever... I didn't bother to retaliating to his pathetic message.

Cowards do it via text message. Move on girl! you'll find someone who will want you and only you. Pathethic jerk, couldn't even say it to your face. You're better off alone.

It's a perfect example of a rebound relationship. He thought he was going to be able to move on. But, he should have told you the deal when you first met to give you a chance to decide if that was what you wanted to do. Don't dwell on this guy, he's a cowards and until he can accept it's over with this other girl or try to make it work out with her then he will be a lonely sole for a while. You just be careful of who you allow into your life from now on. Keep your eyes open. Take care!

Don't blame you - neither would I. What a sad, sad man! Being in love with a girl who lives overseas and isn't interested and then trying to replace her with someone similar. It's hard to know whether to feel sorry for him or just call him a jerk. Probably best to not think about him at all and get out there to find someone a bit less messed up.

i see that as fair. it was only a week and he found out he was interested in you because of someone else and he apologizes and was honest.i think he is a good person for he could have carried this thing further since you seem so into him after only a week?girl get something to do besides looking for love in all the wrong places.

OUCH!! I wouldn't respond either. I would not answer when he call after he gets his "priorities" straight that's for sure. Could say it to your face.. Seems like he is not all that "honest" if he can't at least tell you in person. I'm actaully questioning his reason for not seeing you in person to tell you.

Thank heavens it was only a week long thing, imagine how much harder it would have been finding out a few months down the track. What a looser forget him, you deserve better..

Tough luck. Hope you weren't too interested in that fella.
Well, he's out of your life and not there to mess and lead you on anymore, so that's really a good thing.
And yes, he's such a lame ass.

It's as if he had wasted your time. DOn't even have to bother if he gets his priorities straight or not. You find someone better whose top priority is you. =)
