Learning Mentor Interview Questions

I had my interview today and these were some questions I had:

Tell us about your background and why you want to become a learning mentor

What do you understand of the role of learning mentor?

What do you understand by barriers to learning and how would you go about overcoming them?

A lot of the work involves dealing with parents, what experience have you had in this area?

How would you feel if you had to deal with difficult parents?

How do you visualise your learning mentor room? (The role was brand new so the room was like an empty canvas..)

What would you consider to be the most challenging aspect of this job?

What experience have you had in liaising with teaching staff?

How would you build relationships with the teaching staff?

Is there any training you would like us to provide if you were offered the post?

And finally, the classic: would you accept this job if offered?

Most important advice - DO YOUR RESEARCH.
Good luck everyone :)

I would imagine they would ask you questions about how you would engage disaffected children, and how you would encourage independent thinking and learning, things like that.
