Have you consider Dans la Noir - I'm not sure if you'd consider it romantic - but i think it goes with the desire, seduction and lust theme.

It's totally pitch back so puts all of your other senses into overdrive. Last minute.com have special price offers.

Shepherd's in Marsham Street SW1. Excellent, romantic, intimate and very, very grown up. Check out the link below. Be warned - this restaurant is popular with MPs. But if that doesn't bother you...quite a few celebs turn up there, but in a discreet way. Saw minnie Driver there, but nobody seemed to care - and nobody bothered her..

Forget all the other answers, the best, most romantic restuarant with a wonderful atmosphere in London is: Scallini's on Walton Street. Its Italian, the staff are the most wonderful in the world, very very friendly, will set the mood right for you. If anyman took me there for a meal on a romantic date, I would immediately set and date and time for the wedding...........(dont tell my old man though). Really it is wonderful

there is a new one opening called tamarai so you'll be very in the know if you go there. its on drury lane next to the new london theatre in covent garden. its very dark and luscious with pan-asian menu, excellent cocktails and a wine list to die for. also it has a digital gallery and later you can boogie to some tunes when they move the tables out the way. also there is hakassan in tottenham court road which is also gorgeous. for me, these would be great for a seductive night...
