i guess you can only gather that from how good and happy you feel at this moment.
Anyways, people and feelings change, so enjoy what you have now and don't stress yourself out by wondering if he is the best or not.
If somewhere down the line, he makes a bad move that really breaks your confidence in him, then he wasn't the best after all. But you won't know till then.

First consider if you are really attracted to him and what attracted you to him, then check if you feel comfortable talking with him, and other things will follow.
