BYTES go this way KILO in computers is 1024 and not 1000

1 character = 1 byte

1024 bytes = 1 Kilobyte or 1 kb
1024 x 1024 bytes = 1 Megabyte or 1MB
1024 x 1024 x 1024 bytes = 1 Giga byte or 1 GB

You will love this.. as each time it gets multiplied by 1024.

in decimals mega is 10^6 and giga is 10^9

in binaries megabyte is 2^10 dytes and giga byte is 2^10 mega bytes

first of all it is not gega. it is giga
a megabyte is 1024 kilobytes
gigabyte is 1024 megabyte
