Yes when compared to the non- vegearian food items like meat these vegeratian foods are highly nutritive and they are easily digestible and has less calories . For example green leaves contains abundant of fibres and it increases digestion and avoid digestion problem in aged people and for pregnant ladies. vegetables contains both water -soluble vitamins and fat - soluble vitamins so they are easliy digestible and the wastage from those digested particles are also very less, they are even easily distsributed to the blood circulation by the active diffusion method through the walls of the intestine. So the energy needed for the digestion is also very less comparitively.

The recent studies shows that Non- vegetarians are at higher risk for heart diseases due to high calories in their diet. Since heart plays an important role in pumping the blood and maintaining the blood pressure it is necessary to keep the calories in maintained level by avoiding roasted or deep fried items mainly fleshes.

So in this mechanical world it is important to take care in our food items , it would be better if we take vegetarian than the non-vegetarian to lead a healthy and wealthy life.

Steer clear of what are known as mock meats, common in Chinese vegetarian cuisine, which are actually a mimicry of chicken, fish etc using vegetables, eg mock chicken is usually made from soya bean while mock fish is more often than not made using yam. Still others are flour-based. Mock chicken drumsticks contain ice-cream sticks.

These mock meats were first made for the monkhood, where monks could so-called satisfy their carnal desires by eating the mocked-up meats. However these foods have too much additives and preservatives for one's health.

French fries if taken in large amounts are also detrimental to health... =)

Yes and no. Vegetables are good for health so are fruits. Soybeans are good for health too. However some vegetarian foods (you dint specify here) are mock meats and made up of flour and colouring so excessive consumption is not going to be beneficial. It is most important overall to have a healthy and balanced diet and not to be too fixated on one type of food.

Yeap...actually vegetarian food is good for health..however, some vegetarian shop/restaurant uses flour to make into many different types of food like chicken, eggs, meat etc. so that vegetarians can eat as the food is made of flour (becausae they cannot eat meat)...therefore, by eating too much of this artificial meat make by flour, it can makes one person to put on weight tho and that's no good for health =)

Unless you are allergic to something..VEGGIES RULE. No or Good Fats, lots of fiber, nothing to cause heart, cholesterol problems. Nothing made made can beat them as far as Healthy eatting.
KEY is staying away from the man-made diets.. over processed foods, yes even if they are made to be used in Veggies cooking.
