i think its somewhere within the roman empire....but have to do more research to be sure....

No, the first beast of Revelation 13 is likened unto i believe a leopard, a bear, and a lion, the leopard of Daniel 7 is greece. The beast of Revelation 13 is actually the 4th beast of Daniel 4, the reason it has the same characteristics of Daniel 2 beasts is because when a kingdom takes over another, they absorb its culture and its systems. You will also see the animals are in reverse order then to Daniel 2, John is looking back into the past, Daniel was looking forward into the future.
