I like both spinach has not the bite that arugula has, it depends on your taste... as for nutrition they both posess nutrients that will be good for you. They both can be used for the same things. salads, casseroles etc. Even though the scare is on because of the ecoli , there are places where it does not come from california... take the taste test and see for yourself.. that is the best way...

For now, go with arugula, it's a decent substitute. You can make salads, pesto, fillings, all kinds of stuff with arugula. They're kinda interchangeable flavor-wise.

we call arugula Rocket in the UK, and it has a nice peppery taste, I prefer it to spinach.
