That's right....squirm and run from the truth! Your religion is a sham and your prayer is a mere superstition.

Why do you pray to an imaginary god?

Deep down inside, you all KNOW the ANSWER. Why deny it?

bbypr: So in other words....All of the prayers I listed above, have the SAME EXACT odds of actually working? Why should I pray to your god then....why not one of the others? Your god has no more healing powers than the rest...
Why are you quoting scripture? What does it have to do with the question?

That depends on what is in the "magic" potion.

You left out pagan religions, which also have healings. In Christianity, Healings, as well as the other miracles of receiving the Holy Spirit, were no longer needed after the time of the Apostles, as there was enough Christians for the movement to move forward on its own. If one were to die from an affliction, it is not because they lacked faith, because faith is not based on proof, such as miracles. It is found in the heart. Dying is not something to fear for God's people, as they know that they will will resurrected in one of the two Resurrections. This life is but a moment compared to what awaits us after Armageddon. Of course, if you don't truly have faith in the resurrection, than you will want to be healed so that you will live as long as possible.

True prayer is to express supplications before the One True God for His saving man from all physical and spiritual diseases and leading him to the service of His good pleasure.
In order to get God's acceptance, he has to learn and apply the lessons of God concerning prayers. Vague imagination will not bring him any results.
Prayers are not reserved for any groups of people. All men are free to pray and to receive thankful results for themselves.

I think that all of these are pretty unrealisitic....If you read the bible it says that you must only have faith enough to fit inside a mustard seed in jesus lord and the healing and you are a son. check it out. this is all mental stuff more than anything. I think they would all get the same result realistically, that some would die and some wouldn't...why waste our time comparing?

in the study i think the answer was E. but it doesn't matter because the Bible says "Do not put the Lord your God to the test." I find it sad that people judge christianity by these studies. I pray for those people everyday.

Scientifically it seems to depend on whether you tell them they are being prayed for or not. If you tell them, prayer makes them better. If you don't, there is no improvement. Interesting eh? Of course I know that isn't what you were really asking.
