She may see a bug or a flicker of light that you don't notice, or maybe she's talking to ghosts....

My cat is doing this too. He is a young male, still un-neutered and very energetic and playful. I need to have him nuetered soon. I don't know how old he is, about 5 mo. I would guess. When I am trying to sleep he will come in and stand on my leg and press his front paws on the closet doors (sliding type) and meow up towards the top of the doors. I opened the doors and let him go in the closet and he stood up against the wall inside and started meowing at the top shelf.

I really don't know what this is. I assume it is just pent up energy. He is probably confused and doesn't really know why he feels like he does. He wants to go outside but it is too dangerous around here so I am keeping him as an indoor cat. I feel bad about it because I can tell he is frustrated. I'm hoping that having him fixed will calm him down and he will mellow more as he gets older.

There is probably mice or some other type of critter running around inside the walls That will make a cat nuts! Don't worry, it's probably not bugs like roaches or anything because you would see them in the house. Also don't worry about mice because if they get into the house the cat will kill them and you will see little mice corpses all over.

Or another possibility is that your cat is getting secondary smoke from the crack pipe you are using and she is becoming very paranoid.

Rods, invisible bugs, or just being weird. Cats are strange like that. My cats run through the house, like their hot on the heels of a gazelle or something, then just stop and start cleaning themselves. Makes me laugh. Maybe Kitty is just trying to make you laugh.

He probably sees a bug.... my cats do that when a bug is flying around the room. It's a strange kind of meow too... not a normal meow. It's kind of long drawn out with little tongue rolls...

I assume you mean cat. It is because they are crazy a very natural and funny habit they have. Can't you see all the invisible bugs?

Your cat may be exercising it's predatory nature chasing real or imagined prey, or it might just be bored and want to play..
