I would aslo like to know what Mormons actually belive in what we are saying on here. that you are cults and dont have proof of anything about your religion. I want to know about the 3 Heavens and what they are for. AND the secret handshake when you go before the viel and meet Joseph himself. Why is this kept so secret??

the secret handshake things is what they learn on how to get into heaven. There will be a viel and before you ever the veil you must know what to say and how to have the secret handshake, They even used to ive differnt names to those and these people had to keep these names for when they died and by knowing the handshake and name you were allowed to cross to the other side.

Not atrick question, just wondering why Mormons act so secretly about things. I KNOW they are a cult and it is scary to me that some people are so ready to follow anyone, that they forget about the truth.

One_angry_wolverine.... I know what the Mormon religion has done. I just wondered why the Mormons look the other way and believe lies and HUGE contradictions in their church. THe underwear they wear with symbols embroidered on them.. they say it is to protect them... AS IF. The burning in their bellies means this proves that what they are taught is true. If the prophets are TRUE prophets, they why have the things they have prophesied not come true at times? I thought this was a direct word from God.. Not so....Elders asking boys if they masturbate before they can become Elders is sick. Isn't this between the boy and GOd? Turning 10 in the church allows the boys to bless others by 'the laying on of hands'.. It is all a joke to me. All the men are able to give blessings and believe that they will all become gods themselves one day. If you are not Mormon you are NOT worthy enough to go into the temple even for a wedding of your relative.

I am a Mormon I have had the lord supply me with the proof. I cannot give you that proof, only the lord can give it to you. The highest heaven is the one where all the people who except the lord and follow his teachings go. The second is where those who are good people but do not except Jesus Christ as their savior or those who have but have committed sins so great such as murder as not to be allowed into the highest. The third is one for those who have committed great sins and rejected Jesus. We also believe that some will even be cast off with satin. We cannot judge where anyone goes that is up to the lord he will judge those and where we will be sent we will know it to be the place we belong as for the things that we receive in the Temple of God they are Holy and out of respect we do not talk about them. This I will say we do not meet Joseph there.

www.lds.org www.mormon.org I'am a latter day saint (mormon there is no secret handshake to meet joseph smith or any other kind of secret handshake for anything in the church or temple nothing is seceret the doings in the temple are sacred not secret.and most if not all weird things u hear about us are false and yes we do believe in jesus christ.

You might be further interested in the secret handshakes of the Masonic Lodge as well. They have many similarities to the Mormon cult.

it's kept secret because, as you say, it's a cult. That's why they avoid discussing this stuff when you aks about it. I'm not sure about the whole secret hand-shake thing, but I do know they have some odd beliefs about the afterlife. Joseph Smith was basically a con artist and a lot of people fell for his bologna.

We kept things Sacred, not secret. Anyone who has faith in christ
and follow the teachings will have the opportunity to know all.
If all people are nice and loving, we would not be so picky on who we talk to. But you and I know that its a jungle out there.
