Our teachers make upwards of $80,000 and we're in Northern Illinois. Someone said that if 51% of the kids show up, the school has to bring in teachers from somewhere else.

I got up early, listened to the radio, and they said no classes. But there is a parents' meeting tonight to explain things.

Absolutely!! Children need teachers and school need students and teachers. It's not holiday, send him to school. It is the school's responsibility to keep the classes functioning.

The School will probably have extra teachers to solve the problems, or substitutes, but I would send your kid to school because this shows that the kids tell the teachers they want to learn, and not have their time wasted during school hours because they are on strike for jobs they chose and loved to do, teaching kids

There should be an announcement on the radio, or the school itself should call you. If not, then business as usual I guess. I feel sorry for the teachers when it comes to that. It's always been my feeling that it's a strange world we live in when we pay someone millions of dollars to play a sports game, but the people who educate our kids have to fight for a decent salary.

i'd shop him out of school. I have a 13 month previous that is going to daycare and that i do not even favor him there and by no skill something has even been suggested. the precedence is that each and each of the toddlers there are continually coming down with a chilly/cough and then he receives it. And, he's also on the age the position he places each little thing in his mouth, so preserving a gaggle of children clean is possibly problematic for the daycare paintings force. yet, i'm particular they conflict.... the position do you stay? Are you in San Antonio?

why not. teachers need to get off their high horse and do their job. its not about the bloody money. its about knowledge. you don't need a 50,000 $ a year paycheck to share knowledge. hopefully all the kids will show up.
