We met on internet, one of us comes from Wilmington, DE, the other from Allentown, PA. We're trying to meet someplace in the middle. We're trying to avoid the chain type places but will consider anything.

My date loves Italian and does not care for seafood.
Thank you!

If your date likes Italian I would suggest Gino's in Trooper. I haven't been there in a while since I now live in NC. But I try to get there whenever I'm visiting. They have great food, but as of the last time I was there it was cash only, no credit cards. I think it's BYOB. IT's not impressive from the outside but the food is AMAZING. Also, the service is very slow sometimes, pleasant but slow, but if it's the first date you'll appreciate the time to talk.

Gino's Pizzeria & Restaurant

Or if you want something more upscale and romantic check out the Bay Pony Inn in Lederach, PA. Here's the link to their website http://www.bayponyinnpa.com. The shrimp and lobster bisque is FABULOUS! I know your date doesn't care for seafood, but maybe you do, anyway they have a good selection of foods to choose from. Hope these help, good luck and have a great time no matter what you choose to do.

Bertucci's is in Plymouth Meeting. It's close to the Turnpike (at Plymouth Meeting Mall). I met my internet date there, I am from Philly and he was from Norristown. King of Prussia is also an option since that is also near the Turnpike. There are loads of spots up there (Cheesecake Factory; Sullivan's Steaks; Olive Garden; Lonestar).

If you like Chinese food, a really nice one is the CHINA INN on Ridge Pike near Trooper Road.

On route 724 on the outskirts of Phoenixville is the one remaining HARPOON LOUIE'S, if you like seafood. The one in Collegeville closed down but this one is better anyway.

OR, you could meet at King of Prussia Plaza & Court and try out California Cafe...which can be pricey. The advantage to meeting at the Mall is the central location, of course. There are LOTS of good places to eat in that complex.

Wherever you go, have fun.

Hope this helps!
