Hi I went to my doctor for my STD results and they came out negative. However he said that they only tested for the most common ones. I waited 13 days to get tested, was that okay? I have been considering of going to the county health clinic to get another STD test, but will they check for everything? What exactly will they do? And is it a good place to go?

Hi Max, i previously answered one of your question. Its the one for you getting your STD results next week. I have included some comments on that question and a website that lists all the common STD'S, symptoms and incubation period. You should probably be tested again just to be sure, as all STD's take different amounts of time for them to be detected.

If your wanting to be tested again, you can actually tell them what you would like to be tested for. I'll list the STD's most commonly tested for HIV, syphilis, Chlamydia, Gonorrhoea, Herpes,

usually the county health clinic will test you for hiv and aids you will get a number to call back on they use numbers not names for ID it protects the privacy of others for hiv and aids even with a negitive reading they will tell you to come back in 6 months if you test negitive again your pretty much in the clear when they test for STD'S the results are pretty acurate the first time as you wont have to come back to be retested. hiv and aids needs more time to lay dormat in the blood stream as where STD'S are present quite early on and results can be as quick as 10 days after your exposed to one
