We'll eat pretty much anything for breakfast down here in Australia.
First, you decide whether you want a hot or cold breakfast .. then work from there.
Personally, I eat on the run most mornings, so I'm a hard boiled (chilled) egg and a piece of fruit kind of girl. I also make my own breakfast slice with oats, nuts and fruit to have as a kickstarter.
Some people have toast, some have fruit or cereal. There are those different people that live off a breakfast milkshake or smoothie.
On the weekends I tend to have a full cooked breakfast. This may have bacon and sausages with some mushrooms, onion, grilled tomatoes and maybe an egg or omelette. Or any vegetable I see and think would be tasty.
We also do pancakes on occasion (great for company)/ waffles/ smoked cod and poached eggs/ croissants/ braised liver/ lambs brains and bacon/ fruit with sago/ lamb chops/ filled bagels/ danish/ bubble and squeek/ grits/ fried potato slices/ porridge ... et cetera.
I love breakfast, there's so many possibilities. You can get away with pretty much anything for brunch too, plus, you can have champagne at brunch, which is great with a full breakfast.
Our breakfast motto - eat whatever you feel like eating. Enjoy it, because you'll work it off later.

I like an egg omelet...containing sauteed green peppers and onions, cheese and ham. I also sometimes enjoy scrambled eggs, sausage, hash brown potatoes or grits with butter, and a homemade buscuit with jelly. Fruit is a very good thing to add to breakfast. Hope you will give these foods a try. I am from the South and I think that southern cooking is the best!!!

I am from Texas
we like eggs, fried or scrambled with cheese
sausage or bacon
toast or biscuits
ham with red eye gravy (made with coffee)
sausage gravy over biscuits
jelly
french toast
and a side of orange juice, milk, coffee and sometimes tomato or vegetable juice
omelets sometimes too
hash browns or home fries
We usually have a combination of these things
but most breakfast has a couple of eggs, a meat and a bread from the above list

I almost forgot, we LOVE our breakfast burritos
Scrambled eggs mixed with tomatoes and peppers and cheese on a hot flour tortilla topped with lots of salsa

One time at the same time as in a motel serving loose breakfast i changed into served "American Breakfast" which isn't some thing yet espresso, toast and slightly jam. That changed into no longer some thing for a Filipino like me. In my personal united states, the Philippines, we've an finished array for breakfast it truly is given with one of those massive volume of names like Tapsilog (beef, fried rice, and egg) Tocilog (fried rice, marinated beef and egg), Longsilog, Pansilog, Batilog, Pantylog, Kinalog, Kinabog, etc. In different words, we truly take a lot value for breakfast.

Grits mostly. Must have Grits. It's not a good breakfast without grits.

Then you can add:
Eggs
Bacon
Toast, or Pancakes, Biscuits, or French Toast.

But most popular is Eggs, Bacon, and Grits. Just the three.

A cup of coffee, sometimes a cup of tea. Yes, bad I know, but I leave my house for work at 0600. My stomach isn't awake.

And maybe Scotland is different from England, but in my trip there I found lots of yummy things to eat besides fish and chips, although their definition of prawns was different from mine. I'm from the US.

Something none of the Southerners mentioned that I have eaten for breakfast is fried green tomatoes. Don't eat them often (have to watch the girlish figure lol), but they are pretty good.

Grits, a thick maize porridge, is a must. They are served with just about anything. I like a hot, spicy sausage patty, grits or biscuits and gravy, coffee and juice.
