It's called 'choice' for a reason.

No one really needs to have an abortion. Even in the case of rape or incest you are holding the child responsible for the sins of the Father, you can not call yourself a Christian who wants to take advantage of the freedom of sin from Jesus and put to death a small child. They say if it is not a child then you aren't pregnant. It is interesting that Jesus says "This is my body, that will be given up for you" and you will not give up yours for an innocent child. Also "Freedom of Choice" is so deceiving. The choice for the most part was already made when the act of sex took place. To legalize abortion is the worst because it misleads people into thinking there is no punishment if you chose to have an abortion. There is punishment you know. We live in a throw away society. First it was aborting the small pre-born babies, next it was euthanasia, could you be next if there is something about you that people don't like or is inconvenient? Also they should be called pro-abortion not pro choice. If it wasn't for the question of abortion there would be no choice.

No, not all pro-choicers have had abortions. I, for one, am pro-choice but have never had an abortion. Nor do I even know that I could make the choice to have an abortion, personally. I just believe that other women should have the right to choose what happens with their body, and I know that regardless of whether or not abortions are legal, they are still going to happen, and I believe there is an obligation by the government to make that process as medically safe as possible.

No. I am pro-choice, have never had an abortion. Have one child, 16 yrs old, and due to medical reasons can not have any more. Personally, there would have to be a damn good reason to make me want to have an abortion. But, I am still pro-choice. I refuse to make that type of decision for another woman... even though I disagree with abortion in general. Especially if it is used as a form of Birth Control.

I am pro-choice, but I would never have an abortion. If I were to become pregnant regardless of the circumstances, because of my religious and moral beliefs I would have my child. But, I do think that the option to terminate a pregnancy is a right everyone should have, To make it illegal is to incorporate religion into law, that is something very dangerous to our freedom as Americans.

I am pro-choice, but I do not think I would ever choose to have an abortion. Just because I believe that people should be able to decide the fate of their body - particually when it comes to the idea of bringing another life into the world - doesn't mean that I believe that making that choice would be right for me.

I'm a pro-choicer and I've never had an abortion - but of course I have the freedom to choose to have one if I wish. As does everyone.

Pro-choice means having the freedom to choose. Not all pro-choice activists have had an abortion, they just believe that a woman should be able to makes choices concerning her body.

Pro-Choicers, are not just about the rights of a person to choose to have an abortion. Pro-Choicers are about the rights of a person to choose in general. We are all human beings in our own right, we all have a right to choose what is best for us. A pro-choicer is also a person who chooses to believe in God and should not be condemned because of their choices. And a person who is a Pro-Choicer who chooses to believe in God, should not condemn another Pro-Choicer to choose not to believe in God. It is all about our rights as Human Beings to choose what is best for us without being condemned for it. Although in saying that. A person has not got the right to deliberately set out to hurt another human being...they are not Pro-Choicers, they are criminals. I am just talking about the majority of people in this world, who do have the right to choose whatever they think is best for them....and that includes their right to choose to have an abortion. People will argue it is murder, but done correctly, all that is being destroyed are a bunch of cells, there are no nerves, no blood, no brain, no nothing, just cells. It is not murder....but it could be murder if a person who doesnt want a child for whatever reason ends up killing themselves because they were forced to do something they knew they couldnt cope with. Or it could mean destroying a persons life if they were forced to have a child. It could also mean that child could also end up being abused and beaten because it was never wanted.
Pro-Choicers dont just make decisions about this kind of thing lightly. They think about it in great detail and they look at everything that could and probably would happen if they were to have a child. Pro-Choicers do not use abortion as a form of contraception. Pro-Choicers are usually very responsible people.

I am pro-choice, but have never needed an abortion. Don't expect to need one, now that I'm in my 50s. I've held this freedom as important from the time I was in my 20s and became aware of how it impacted women's lives.
