You only need around 50grams of proten (average adult) so really there is no need to worry about the whole "protein issue"
I have cereal with soymilk in the morning and then another cup at night. If you have a bit of soy sauce with your salad in the afternoon you are at the 50gram mark. Anyway there are great meat alternatives, vegetarian sausages, hamburgers, ham etc, that tastes better than meat ones and are offcourse healthier, easier to digest etc. Other than that:
Nuts, gluten (from flour), lentils, chickpeas (great to make hummus) etc are all great sources. Just do a web search and find out for yourself!! Good Luck!

There are a lot of soy products besides tofu and all are a good source of protein. Beans and other legumes (chick peas, peanuts, lentils) are also good sources, as are whole grains, nuts and dark green veggies. You shouldn't have a hard time finding enough protein in your diet, particularly since you're keeping milk and eggs.

I really wouldn't worry about it. Humans only require 5% of our calories from protein. A good safe zone as recommend by the World Health Organization is between 10%-15%. You may have seen American RDA's of protein as high is 35% but this is due to the meat and dairy industry being involved in deciding the RDA's. Protein deficiency is relatively rare around the world and is all but unheard of in a adult American, meat eater or not.

Well, there are lots of nuts.
They contain tons of protein.
Another thing is, that you could go to a couple of vegan sites.
I am a vegan and I think it is stupid when people are making those jokes about animals! They need to stay away from this side of the web!
Also tons of fake meat, Like MORNING STAR .they have the best (soy) sausage patties, way better then the real thing.
Also, MORNING STAR, has other products that taste good.

Tofu, TVP (textured vegetable protein), and nuts. Peanuts, walnuts, cashews, brazil nuts, the list keeps going.
