It is REALLY rare for babies to be born with HPV. If a women is pregnant and has genital warts, the pregnancy can cause the warts to grow faster and bigger just from the hormones of the pregnancy. It is really rare though for the baby to be born with HPV.

It also shouldn't affect you from getting pregnant either. I've had two colposcopys done and one Leep procedure and my doctor told me I would have no problem having a child.

And yes, HPV can cause ALL kinds of warts anywhere on the body. It causes genital warts, hand and feet warts, warts on your elbows, you name it.

If you take antiviral medications such as podophyllin, podofilox or
5-fluorouracil cream for the treatment of HPV, it will cause birth defects in your baby. Genital warts may cause a number of problems during pregnancy. Sometimes they get larger during pregnancy, making it difficult to urinate. If the warts are in the vagina, they can make the vagina less elastic and cause obstruction during child birth. Doctors say the presence of HPVs should not affect a woman's ability to give birth or her likelihood of needing a hysterectomy. Consult a Gynecologist.

probably best to speak to your doctor, but hpv is the underlying cause of warts, it may be related to your elbow. if you have been trying for a baby for over a year, go for a fertility check.

Good luck in your ttc process.
I have HPV and although HPV does not get in the way of getting pregnant while pregnant your immune system might get weaker and you might have an outbreak. In this case your GYN/OB will perform a c-section and everything will be just fine. No worries.

Your baby can't get HPV. If you have an open sore close to your due date the DR. will perform a C-section
