I dont't think thats a good idea. Why not eat star fruit instead? Looks similar but would tast better.

The question is not can you, but should you? You can eat just about anything except things to big or hard to chew. Should you is an entirely different matter.

Yes. I saw it on the TV.
They turn the star over, and cut open the bottom part, and scratch the dark green stuff for cooking.

I wouldn't! They look so gross when you cut them open. They're filled with slimy green sludge. I don't know what they would taste like, but... it's just not something I think anybody's meant to eat.

if u cut the shell of them u can...put them in a cheddar cheese soup
