sure. vegetarianism seems to be a new rage in the US these days. besides most places will serve basic veg stuff atleast. if not u can always ask them to make u a basic cheese sandwich with a salad. most chefs tend to respect ur dietry choices and oblige.

all the best!

As a VEGAN it's very easy to survive in the U.S....especially even in a "red" and meat-friendly state like Texas (where we live now). You only need to know how to combine your proteins and you only have to do it once a day. If you once a day have some tofu with a vegetable in a salad, a scramble or a soup, for example...guess what? You have plenty of protein and all the amino acids you need for health for the whole day! Basically, eat soy products, legumes (beans and nuts), veggies, fruits and good carbs like whole wheat and other grains in pastas or breads...you will have a nicely balanced and entirely animal-free diet. You will probably live a longer and happier life than most of your fellow Americans, too.

I survive nicely with my Vegan lifestyle...even here in meat-worshipping, RED Texas....I really believe any other Americans will be MORE able to have a veggie or vegan lifestyle more easily in the other 49 states!!!

It depends on where you go. The south and the middle of the US is difficult to be vegetarian, but on the west coast it's really easy and on the east coast it's pretty easy. I'm a vegan and I know where to go and what to order to get great food. In Portland Oregon there are vegan restaurants and vegan grocery stores. There are tons of vegetarian options and restaurants.

I went to Botswana a couple of months ago and survived just fine thanx. they had great vegetarian schnitzels etc, even veggie food at restaurants..I am taking a wild guess but I think you can much more than just "survive" in the States.

Absolutely. You can't find another country with the selection of
daily fresh fruits/vegetables as USA has.

Most restaurants and fast foods chains also cater to needs of vegetarians.

ENJOY!

It depends on what you are.
I am in the NJ/NY area and it is fine. Plenty of stores and restaurants. If you are nowhere near NY, DC, LA, Chicago, Portland, VT etc. I would suggest starting at :

It tends to be pretty easy. Gotta be kind of careful when eating out. Big city's are the easiest place.
