I am a Lebanese American, and a good cook. My kids love kefta kebab so do all their American friends. I cannot imagine that it had cabbage in it though. Typically, for one pound of ground lamb or beef, you add one thin bunch of chopped parsley, or half a bunch if it was a think one, two medium onions also chopped thin, about three table spoons of tomato sauce, two teaspoons salt, and two teaspoons of allspice, and you mix the whole thing well with your bare hands. Then skewer it. Some people add hot sauce to it. The parsley and onion must be chopped very thin. Allspice is a spice you find with all other spices in the supermarket.
