absolutely! as long as the fish isn't contaminated or something.. the Japanese have the longest life expectancy of any people in the world.. although that's changing as they get more and more McDonalds in their country..

It must be healthy, although people from other cultures go "ewwww" when someone utters the word "sushi" but that's just ignorance.
Look at Japanese people, they age so well, like I know a 40 year old Japanese woman who literally looks like she's 25, and there are other examples too. They live long and I have never met a real Japanese person who is overweight.

Well, I love sushi but I don't eat that as much as teppan yaki or teriyaki, as long as I know there was one guy in Japan who loves sushi very much and end up get a chronic headache, the doctors trying to scan his head and they found something weird just below the head bones, they're decided to open this man's skull and found hundreds of sea worms..eeww after look at those disgusting photos of open skull with those worms (my friend send me those through email), I've change my mind every time I look at the sushi boat or any other sushi platter.

Sushi is good for you. See the Japanese, they eat lots of it and they have the highest or one of the highest average lifespan.
Sushi can be raw uncooked seafood or meat(eg sliced fish, beef or shell prawns, prawn or fish roe, sea urchin roe.)It may be vinegared or salted first too.
Sushi can also come in the cooked form (eg, grilled eel, egg omelete, cooked scallops, octopus plain boiled or in sauce)
Basically, food must always be fresh and handled hygienically.
Raw seafood and meat in sushi is of a fresher, higher grade and more hygienically handled.
Buy and eat only at reputable and recognised places.
It is low in oil, fat, and salt(control dipping in soy sauce).
It generally does not have presevatives or artificial colouring and flavouring.
So it is good for you. My wife, son (4 years old) and I love it and eat very often too. Enjoy!!!

Yes it is good for getting parasites. Seriously, if you eat sushi regularly you need to use some para90 from AIM about every 6 months to clean out your lower intestine.

It depends, If you are pregnant it is not recommended. Raw fish is obviously uncooked so any parasites can harm the fetus. They have also found that some fish have certain levels of mercury. Not enought to harm you if you just eat one fish but don't go eating fish every day for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Be modest and fish is good for you.

Yes, if it's fresh and properly prepared. Keep in mind that one should only eat saltwater fish uncooked. Freshwater fish can contain harmful bacteria. The problem is some fish can live in both fresh and saltwater, mainly salmon. So it is a good idea to avoid eating uncooked salmon just to be safe. Other than that, all things in moderation.

hell no, It aint good for you. that crap will plug up your colon like cement with scales. My brother-in-law had to have a very large piece of his colon removed and had to carry around a poo-bag. It finally did him in. He just couldn't get enough of that raw fish. He wouldn't touch beef, pork or chicken. It was sushi and veggies, thats all he ate for like 40 years. But on the up side once he had that colon removed he never had to wipe his butt again.

As long as it's made from sushi-grade seafood (and not older, less fresh seafood), it's fine. Just go easy on the soy sauce; it's high in sodium. Or ask for a lo-so soy sauce; they probably have it.
