ok women, I just went back to being a vegetarian. my monthly cycle has stopped. Neg. pregnancy tests for the past two weeks. Normal pap-smear and blood in the past few months. Has this ever happened to anyone?

Yes, it absolutely did the same thing to me. I thought....am I going through the change lol...I missed a month and then spotted for a month and now I'm regular...I think my body was ridding all the filth from the flesh....welcome back to a long and healthy life...

You should probably talk to your doctor, but it could be a case of being too thin (that happens a LOT when women get too thin), or you have a lack of iron. Pick up some iron pills at your local drugstore. Total cereal is the best source of iron, so you could try that. Iron deficiencies are not strictly contained to ppl who follow a vegetarian diet, there are meat eaters who suffer from it as well. It just depends on how well your body absorbs nutrients. Tea and coffee can block the absorbtion of iron, while foods high in ascorbic acid can help you absorb it.

It could also be something else, so if you don't see any changes it's best to see your doctor.

If you are very thin or underweight, it could be your body stopping menstruation beacuse you are so thin and unhealthy. If you are not thin adn underweight, then I don't know what it is. Are you perimenopausal?

veg is no good ,you need meat.

red meat is where you get your protein and iron from.
