Go to a cardiologist for an evaluation. A lot of people walk around with irregular heart beats. Are you symptomatic? The doctor may give you an echocardiogram and maybe a Holter monitor to wear for 24 hours.

You should see your doctor and have tests run . There could be many things and they are best to find answers. I have those same irregular beats and mine turned out to be mitral valve prolapse. A large number of people have this and NEVER even know it. But some of us have to take a simple medication for it. I would suggest your family doctor or an internal med. to start with. Good luck.

You may have something called Arrhythmia. its a genetic heart problem where somethings trigger you heart to beat really fast. next time your doing whatever you do when it usually happens... ware a heart monitor. you can usually find these in running or exercise stores. Check and see what your heart should be at and if it goes over consult a cardiologist. they will run tests and diagnose you.

It depends on the cause of it. If you go to a cardiologist, they can do a whole battery of tests. I do not agree with doctors who say it is not a problem in a "healthy" person. What if the person has low electrolytes?
This is why people have to be their own doctors sometimes (to a point).
