not at all! you just have to plan a little bit and put some thought into it! the good thing is, you can get very creative. just experiment... it doesn't have to be an instant process, try it out just on weekends first, then try a week.
of course, this is harder if you live w/ parents and don't have much say in the matter. even then, you could encourage them to try new recipes, or make a tasty, nutritious veg side dish and just opt out of the meat.
make sure to eat a lot of green, leafy vegetables and whole grains to get vitamin b, and nuts/beans/eggs for protein.
have been a vegetarian my entire life and it's not hard at all! i'm really healthy and happy. (and a great cook, too!)
then again, if you love horse that much, it may be hard to get it out of your diet... just kidding!

You can ease into it, and it's not as painful.
Start by cutting down only on the red meat (beef and pork), so that you only have it once or twice a week, and make one day totally meatless. Let your body adjust, and your "tastes" change.
Then eliminate either the pork or the beef day (whichever one you like the least), and add two more meatless days.
So, you're now eating vegetarian, three days a week.
Hard step, eliminate the last of the red meat, and add another meatless day.
At this point, you're eating only chicken and fish three days a week. It now gets easier, unless you're totally giving up eggs, cheese and milk and going vegan.
You do the same thing with the chicken and the fish...change it so you're only eating meat two days a week...let your body adjust, and then make meat only once a week. Once you're okay on that....it's pretty easy to drop the last day.
It's not easy to do all at once. Your body will not react nicely to the removal of meat and an increase in veggies, fruits, nuts, and beans. Let's just say, you aren't going to be the most pleasant person to be around.
If you're going vegan, you need to really do some research and look at the nutrients you need and the other sources to get them from. Walnuts and almonds and legumes are good alternates, but you have to combine things right for some of the micronutrients to get absorbed.
Good luck,.

Five days before the release of Kokopelli and Company in Attack of the Smart Pies (March 10, according to Amazon) there is a new VeggieTales video coming out called Duke and the Great Pie War.

Nope not at all. When we had such a hard time with meat products I swear I would eat only veggies. The other thing is, that I have my own organic garden.

Did you try all the great soy meats? The bocca burgers in the frozen section are so good. Look up recipes and try the black bean burgers and other options. You can still eat pasta's. Try the soy meats....

Habits take time to break. I've heard 21 days to break the habit of eatting animal flesh.
I too think it depends why you want to turn to "Veggie". Social, Health, Taste buds etc.

I have never been a big meat eater so it wasn't hard for me at all. I actually felt healthier. You could slowly phase meat out.
