Vienna Sausages originate from Vienna, Austria. They are similar to frankfurters in that they are made with chicken, pork and beef. Some call them the food of the gods. Some call them disgusting. Some can't get enough. Some don't want to take the risk.

no, not from italy
as with all mass produced canned processed meats, these things are made from the leftovers of beef, chicken or pork, after all of the good cuts have been removed for real consumption; the carcasses (including organs and bones) are ground up into a messy slurry (just add water!), meat flavor is added and the resulting goop is extruded to make sausage shapes; same process as the meat in fast food hamburgers, only with different meat flavor and a different formula of water/slurry
mmmm, now i'm hungry-- i'm gonna pick up some vienna sausages for dinner followed up by a mcdonalds double cheeseburger for 99 cents

Vienna sausages are made from the hair and hooves and especially the fat of an Austrian goat and manufactured in Peru. I though everyone knew that!
