10 pizzas. I would count on everybody eating at least 2 slices and then you have some left for people that want more.

btw - Kvel...14 to 16 slices!!! What kind of pizza are you eating. I used a standard 8 slice pizza in my calculation.

Depends on the size of the pizzas and the setting. If it's a bunch of teenagers, I'd get more per person than if it's a family event. If it's elementary aged kids, less than that.

General rule of thumb is two slices per person and you go from there, adding more for teens and cut down a bit for children.

Medium pizzas are usually 8-cut and larges are generally 12-cut. For 30 people, to be on the safe side, I'd go with 10 medium or 7 to 8 large, whatever is more cost-effective. (Some places do buy one, get one free... many will only charge you $5-$6 each for larges for an order that size. Others have a standard $5 for medium price.) Call around, talk to the managers and get the best deal.

By the way... the two most popular types of pizza for crowds are #1 Pepperoni and #2 Plain cheese.

Rule of thumb when ordering for large groups of people: 2 slices per person plus 2 pizzas. So figure 8 slices in the average pie, I'd go for 10 or 12.

depends on the size of the pizza. if you're talking about the averave family size there are 14 to 16 slices per pie...30 people...4 slices per person....9 should do it....

of course then again by my calculations 30 people times 2 beers each equals 10 cases...
