Its not legal just because other people "share" the files. Piracy is illegal in any way, whether it be P2P, downloading from websites/FTPs, or buying copies at a market stall. But hey, if you ever get caught, you're welcome to try the excuse "But they're doing it too..." and see how far it gets you.
